IBA Monitoring Workshop

[text_output]The Important Bird Area (IBA) monitoring workshop is organized by the IITA Forest Center and sponsored by the AG. Leventis Foundation. The workshop is designed to train students and young professionals in the field of Conservation Biology. Every year, conservation experts from across the country are invited to train and share their experiences with participants. This will build capacity in participants, equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence needed to pursue their academic and career goals.[/text_output]

Eligibility

We accept applications from all people regardless of gender. The following are minimum requirements for eligibility:

  • Currently studying and/or working in the field of Conservation Biology in Africa
  • Aged 18 – 40 years by the closing date of application
  • Literacy in English Language
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Interest in Ornithology

Application Process

In addition to background information, you will be required to give the summary of a conservation or citizen science project you are actively involved in (1000 characters), share why you are motivated to attend the workshop (1000 characters) and a letter of recommendation from your academic and/or research supervisor.[/text_output]
